Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you wanted to know about playarchy — how we work, what we cover, how to get help.

Is playarchy free to use?

Yes — everything on playarchy is completely free to read. We do not hide guides behind a paywall.

Are the cheats on playarchy safe to use?

Yes, but only in single-player games. We never recommend using cheats or external tools in multiplayer, because doing so violates the terms of service of most games and typically results in a permanent account ban. Every cheat or trainer we link to has been scanned and tested by our editors.

Will using console commands break my save file?

Console commands are very unlikely to corrupt a save in most modern games, but we always recommend making a manual backup save before experimenting. In some cases (for example, disabling essential flags in Skyrim) commands can soft-lock quests — we flag those cases in each guide.

How often is content updated?

Walkthroughs and fix guides are updated whenever a major game patch is released. Graphics guides are revisited every time a new GPU generation or driver branch launches. You can always see the last-updated date at the top of each article.

My game still won’t launch after trying every fix. What now?

Reach out to us through our social channels with your full system specs (CPU, GPU, RAM, Windows build), the exact game version, and any error text. Our editors regularly publish new fixes based on reader reports.

Do you accept user-submitted guides?

Absolutely — if you have a great walkthrough, a novel fix or an overlooked setting, email it to [email protected]. Accepted pieces are credited to the author and paid for at our standard rate.

In which languages is playarchy available?

playarchy is available in 23 languages covering every major region outside the CIS. The list includes English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Italian, Polish, Turkish, Dutch, Swedish, Romanian, Czech, Hungarian, Greek, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, and Hebrew.

How can I support the project?

Follow our social channels, share guides that helped you, and join the Discord community. Word of mouth is what keeps an independent project alive.
